Lord Jesus Christ, you have united us in the Sacrament of Matrimony. For this we are grateful. We thank you for all the love that we are able to bestow upon ourselves. We thank you for all the joys that come to us from this reciprocal communion. We thank you for our children and for the security of our home.

We ask you: Keep alive our love everyday. Do not permit that it will be marred by monotony or by the feverish activity of life. Do not permit that words ever fail us or that we live side by side as strangers. Show us how we may renew our common life at every moment. Make us tolerate those peculiarities of the other that often arouse our anger. Render us ready to forgive and to reconcile. Help us in our decision.

Give us the strength to bear every suffering together, every trial which comes our way. Daily renew in us your grace. Amen.

Grant me, O Lord, steady hands,

Prompt legs and watchful eyes.

That no one shall be hurt as I drive by.

Thou gave us life and everything in the world,

We pray that the Blessed Mother wrap her mantle around your priests

And through her intercession strengthen them for their ministry.

We pray that Mary will guide your priests to follow her own words,

May your priests have the heart of St. Joseph,

Mary’s most chaste spouse. May the Blessed Mother’s own pierced heart

Inspire them to embrace all who suffer at the foot of the cross.

May your priests by Holy, filled with the fire of your love seeking nothing

But your greater glory and the salvation of souls. Amen.

Most merciful Jesus, I offer my children to you. No other person can understand my sorrows and anxieties and give me a greater help. Give me the grace to bring up my children because I know that without your help my work will not be fruitful. Purify my actions and enlighten my teachings before my children. Free them from sin, teach them to grow in love, protect them from bad company, help them in their studies, and make them loving and merciful to the poor, the unfortunate and the suffering people. Keep them in God’s grace and in good health, so that they may grow for the sake of God’s glory, the good of others and the satisfaction of their parents. And when after death I appear before you, My judge, let your mother take good care of my children, I promise you that hereafter I shall serve you, trust in you and spread this devotion. Amen.

Lord Jesus, through faith in your merits, now I take your precious blood and anoint myself and my family right from the crown of our heads to the very soles of our feet. I claim total and complete protection for myself and my family.

Lord Jesus, keep me free today from evil, sin, temptations, satan’s attacks and afflictions, fear of darkness, fear of man, disease, doubts, anger and from all that is not of thy kingdom.

Fill me Lord Jesus, with the gifts of your holy spirit and grant me the grace of wisdom, knowledge, faith, understanding and discernment, so that I live today and always in your glory by doing what is right.

Most glorious Saint Joseph, blessed spouse of May, you who merited to be chosen as guardian of the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ, and who, whilst embracing Him affectionately did have a foretaste of the bliss of heaven, I beseech you, obtain for me full pardon of my sins and the grace of imitating your virtues so that I may ever walk in the path that leads to eternal happiness. As you had the privilege of having Jesus and Mary by your deathbed, and in their arms did breathe forth your soul, I earnestly pray you to protect me from the enemies of my soul in that last moment, so that consoled by the sweet hope of heaven I may expire pronouncing the most Holy names of Jesus. Mary and Joseph. Amen.

Holy Spirit, you who makes me see everything and who shows me the way to reach my ideals, you who gives me the Divine gift to forgive and forget all that is done to me, and you who are in all the instincts of my life with me. I, in this short dialogue, want to thank you for everything and affirm once more that I never want to be separated from you, no matter how great the material desires may be. I want to be with you and my loved ones in their perpetual glory. To that end and submitting to God’s holy will, I ask from you ……etc. (your request).

Right from the crown of his head to the very soles of his feet.

Lod Jesus, keep him free today from evil, sin, temptation, satan attacks and afflictions, fear of man, sickness, disease, doubts, and anger, all calamities and from all that is not of Thy kingdom.

Fill (Name the person) Lord Jesus with the gift of Your Holy Spirit and grant the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, understanding and discernment so that he lives today in your glory by doing what is right.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell, satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. May Queen of all Saints, pray for us.

Remember, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the ineffable power which your divine Son has given you over his adorable Heart. Full of confidence in your merits, we now implore your protection. O heavenly treasurer of the Heart of Jesus, of that Heart which is the inexhaustible source of all grace, and which you may open when you please, in order to distribute amongst men all the treasures of love and mercy, of light and salvation, which it contains. Grant us, we beseech you, the favours we solicit…… No, we cannot meet with a refusal, and since you are our Mother, our Lady of the Sacred Heart, favourably hear and grant our prayers. Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, remember that we are consecrated and belong to You. Bless and protect us all. Make our home a shrine of Your love and your grace. Strengthen the bond of affection that unites us together. Help us to bear one another’s burdens in peace and harmony and unselfishness. Keep us always near to You and to Your Blessed Mother. Amen.

St. Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find …….. which has been lost. At least restore to me peace and tranquility of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than my material loss. To this favour I ask another of you: that I may always remain in possession of the true good that is God. Let me rather lose all things than lose God, my supreme good. Let me never suffer the loss of my greatest treasure, eternal life with God. Amen.

O God, you are the God of peace, and I am a worrier. Take away my worry and give me some of your peace. Help me not to waste my time worrying about things about which there is nothing to be done, but help me to accept them, and to make the best of them, and to overcome them.

Help me not to worry about things which I myself can mend but to do something about them, even if it means a great effort, and even if it means that which is still more difficult – the confessing of my error and the humbling of my pride.

Help me tonight to sleep in peace, and to waken a sinner, help me to know and remember that I am a forgiven sinner.

O Good St. Gerard, powerful intercessor before the Throne of God, Wonder-worker of our day, I call upon thee and seek thy aid. While on earth, thou didst always fulfill God’s designs; help me too, always to do God’s Holy Will. Beseech the Master of life from whom all parenthood proceeds, to bless me with offspring that I may raise up children to God in this life and heirs to the kingdom of His Glory in the life to come. O Almighty and Everlasting God, Who, through the co-operation of the Holy Ghost, didst prepare the body and soul of the glorious Virgin Mary to be a worthy dwelling place of Thy Divine Son; and through the co-operation of the same Holy Ghost didst sanctify St. John the Baptist, while still in his mother’s womb; hearken to the prayers of  Thy humble servant who implores thee, through the intercession of St. Gerard, to protect me amid the dangers of child-bearing and to watch over the child with which Thou hast deigned to bless me: that it may be cleansed by the saving water of Baptism and after a Christina life on earth, it may with its mother attain everlasting bliss in Heaven. Amen.

O Virgin Mother of God, favourite daughter of the human race, behold me, unworthy though I be, and see that I too am about to become a mother. Assist me, dear Mother, in honour of you Virginal Maternity to bear the pains of child-birth courageously, and give me strength, physical and moral. Avert from me any unforseen or unnatural circumstances and grant me the privilege of bearing a normal, healthy child.

I come to you, dear Lady, in these hours of my expectancy with confidence and love. Hear my prayers, O Immaculate Mother, and accept as your own the precious treasure God is about to entrust to me. I offer to you and your Divine Son the body, soul, and the entire life of my child. Help me to be a good mother in word and example that the little one may learn, at an early age, of your greatness, and form the desire to imitate your virtues for the love of your Divine Child Jesus. Amen.

O God, You gave to Saint Peregrine an Angel for his companion, the Mother of God for his teacher, and Jesus for the Physician of his malady. Grant, we beseech You, through his merits that we may on earth intensely love our holy Angel, the blessed Virgin Mary, and our Saviour Jesus Christ. O LORD God Almighty, I pray You, by the precious Blood which Your Divine Son shed on this day upon the wood of the Cross, especially from His most sacred hands and feet, deliver the Souls in Purgatory, and in particular that soul for which I am most bound to pray; that no neglect of mine may hinder it from praising You in Your Glory and blessing You forever. Amen.

O LORD God Almighty, I beseech You, by the Precious Blood which gushed forth from the sides of Your Divine Son Jesus in the presence and to the extreme pain of His most holy Mother deliver the Souls in Purgatory, and especially that one amongst them all, which was most devout to her; that it may come quickly into Your Glory, there to praise, You, in her, and her in You, through all the ages. Amen.
